This module contains your Internet settings that are used throughout the
program. There are two tabs: "Internet Settings" and "General
Settings".
For "Internet Settings", you can specify:
Use proxy
If this field is "Checked", the Internet
connection will be made through your proxy and all proxy settings
will be taken from the Proxy settings area. If you are not
sure of these settings, please ask your systems administrator or
Inter Service Provider.
If this field is "UnChecked", the connection will be done
without utilizing a proxy connection.
Proxy
Settings
This contains the proxy settings. They are used when
the Use proxy field is "Checked". These settings have
the following fields:
Host
This field should contain the Proxy server
address.
Example:
proxy-yourisp.com
Port
Enter the
Proxy port number here.
Example:
8080
Username
This is the
name you were given when registering to connect to the Proxy
server.
Password
Your password for connecting to
the proxy server.
Mail settings
In this
area, fill in the settings of the SMTP server in which
reports will be sent by email. Example: "mail.yoursever.com". If you do not know what your SMTP settings are, please contact your Internet Provider. This area contains the following
fields:
SMTP Server
The SMTP server address through which
the mail will be sent.
Example:
mail.yourdomain.com
SMTP Port
The port number of the SMTP server connection (usually
25).
"From": address for the e-mail report
From what Email address are the generated Email reports sent.
"From": name for the e-mail report
On whose behalf are the email messages with the generated email reports sent.
Specify your connection speed in the "Transfer rate" field; this will save the time you spend awaiting reply from server and increase the submission speed.
NOTE
All these
settings are used to connect to the Internet, so they must be
completed correctly otherwise the program will not work. Please ask
your systems administrator, web host, or Internet Service Provider
if you are not sure of these settings.
In "General Settings" tab you can specify:
Quick
submit
If this field is "Checked", the Submission
speed will increase.
Run StartUp Wizard
If this field is "Checked", each
time the program is started the StartUp Wizard will be
launched to facilitate the navigation of the program.
Always show wizards
If this field is "Checked", each
time the program is activated, a corresponding wizard will start to
advise you, when running the utility.
Automatically select active connection
If this field is "Checked", then Dialer will automatically
select active connection.
Run dialer
If this field is "Checked", then Dialer will start automatically
at the program startup.
Run Tips on program start
"Check" this checkbox if you want to get tips at the program
startup.
Run news on program start
"Check" this checkbox if you want to get news at the program
startup.
