META TAG FTP UPLOADER

Previous page Level up Next page

This tool can help you to upload files with inserted meta tags directly to your web-server.
In the Settings tab you MUST specify the following:

Host
Here you should enter the name of your site server (e.g., ftp.InternetServiceProvider.com).

FTP Port
Enter the number of the port to connect (usually 21).

Path
Enter the path on the server to your web site (e.g., /home/username/www).

Username
Enter the name you were given when registering to connect to the server.

Password
Enter your secret word for connecting to the server.

You should receive all the information mentioned above from your ISP on whose server your site is located.

Binary
Use "binary" as a transfer mode to transfer BMP or JPG files. "Ascii" is right and works well for TXT or HTM files. If you know that the system you are transferring to is a Windows or Windows NT system, then you can use "binary" all the time.

Passive
Certain FTP servers support both active and passive transfers while other FTP servers only allow active transfers. In some cases passive mode may be required for users who are behind some types of router-based firewalls or behind a gateway requiring passive transfers.

To start uploading press the Upload button.
To automatically load the information about FTP connecting from some project press the Populate From Projects button.

In the Errors tab you can see error messages if any errors occur while uploading.
