To see what keywords are on a certain page, fill in the following fields:
In the Compare URL's area you should insert one or two pages for the analysis, and the maximum number of keywords to be shown in the results. To indicate one page you should enter in the Compare this URL field (the path to your page location). If you're using the path on your local hard drive, then select the Local item on the right. If the page is in the Internet, choose URL. If you choose Local, to facilitate the selection of the local file, use the standard file selection dialogue. To choose one click on the Browse button opposite the input field.
To analyze two web pages you will additionally have to fill in the to this URL (optional) field. It is filled in analogically.
In the Show top N keywords field indicate the maximum number of keywords which are most frequently encountered on the web pages.
In the Analyze the following area check the area of the web page in which the analysis will be conducted. You can check the following items of a page:
Page title This is the text that is located between the "<Title>" tags.
Meta tag keywords
This is the text that is located in the "<META>" tag with the "keywords" attribute
Meta tag description
This is the text that is located in the "<META>" tag with the "description" attribute
Body text
This is the text that is located between the "<Body>" tags.
You can set the word filters in the Word Filters area. It contains the following filters:
Ignore words of N characters in length or less
The words the length of which is less than the given N will be ignored.
Count only words that occur more than once
If this field is checked, the words that appear on the page not more than once will be ignored.
Analyze only single word phrases
If this field is checked, the phrases of more than one word will be ignored.
The next three fields, if checked, allow to join words by means of "hyphen" (-), "underscore" (_) " and "slash" (/) correspondingly.
Ignore numeric words
If this field is checked, all the numbers on the pages will be ignored.
Ignore words with embedded numbers
If this field is checked, all the words with numbers will be ignored.
Use our default stop word list
If this field is checked, all the words in the "stopwords.conf" file will be ignored. The file is in the same directory as the program.
Listed words
This is another type of the filter. Here you can write a set of words, each from a new line. If you check Ignore listed words, all the inserted words will be ignored. If you check Include only listed words, all the words except for the inserted will be ignored. To close this filter check None.
To get the results press the Analyze button on the top panel.
The results will be shown on the Results tab.
There are two tables when you analyze one page.
The upper table shows the list of words and their frequency. The lower one contains the content of the next parts: Page title; Meta tag keywords; Meta tag description.
If you are analyzing two web pages, the Results tab will have four tables. The tab area will be divided into two parts: the left part will contain the first web page result and the right one will have the information about the second page.
To facilitate filling in all the fields press the Wizard button on the top panel to start the wizard.
